Family pride

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Lancastrian victory people! Gotta admit, I wasn't expecting that at all. So, last but not least, could it ever so possibly be- family pride.
We have Henry IV's descendants, and Edward III's. As both of the men I just named were not the best of friends, their children were bound to start fighting. Henry was of the House of Lancaster, through John of Gaunt. He had killed the last king, (Richard.) They both had claims to the throne, which continued through their children, Henry's being the Lancastrians and the other branch, descended from Edward IV, being the Yorkists.)
So yeah, there's bound to be history between the two groups, and sometimes the war may have had a deeper meaning to them, which meant they couldn't give up. (That being why it took so long to finish!!!)
Okay, I'm not sure if I got all these facts throughout my posts entirely correct, so please don't penalize me (I'm just a poor peasant, after all!)
Well I hope you enjoyed ma blogging as much as I did, but I'm glad the war's over and I can kick back.
See ya,
Anonymous Yorkist.

Greed

Wow, and there I was thinking times were getting ever so slightly more peaceful. Murder in the tower!!! Until now I hadn't realised Richard was so flipping greedy. Man, killing your nephews so they wouldn't beat you to the throne. Dude...So yeah, greed. Until now, I wasn't sure that was what motivated him, but now, he's going to be willing to do anything. One thing I am definite of is greed has spanned this entire war. For example we have Margaret of Anjou, who (possibly) drove her husband insane. Richard Plantagenet who spent the last years of his life driving his sons to the throne. The Kingmaker, who has been going back and forth between both sides in his pathetic attempt to gain power. So with all these examples of greed, it's no wonder that it's taking so long.
They all want it real bad, and have done things that leave them no choice to carry on warring.

Weak leadership?

So as the last few years have been going by, I was thinking, is it because of weak leadership??? That is a definite candidate for the position. Like, Henry VI had serious problems. Pious but weak. Utterly controlled by his wife, I'm sure you all read about his insanity fits in the news. Richard is making some seriously stupid decisions, no wonder there's been uprisings. (I've been tempted to join in myself.) Nah, just kidding with you. So yeah, lot's of stuff along those lines, uprisings, challenges, control freak wives, you know the lot. I reckon if we got stronger rulers then it would settle down and this blumming civil war would get over and done with.

Did you see that dude get stabbed?

Flipping heck, what was up with them. I mean, who does that. Who drops their coat so that they can run faster?  I don't know about you but I like my coat. Weirdoes. So like I was saying, first off, I think it might be down to the fact that there are soooo many powerful people in play. Just too many of them, all battling for the same thing....
First we have we have the major ones, Edward IV, Richard III, Henry VI, Henry Tudor, and then some others. Richard Neville- 'the Kingmaker' (famous for attempting to wield power through both Yorkist and Lancastrian sides. Weirdo.)
Richard Plantagenet, father of Ed and Richy, who spends most of his time trying to get his sons to the throne.
Margaret of Anjou, wife of Henry VI who often leads the Lancastrians and devises strategy. Scary woman. All of them are just running around killing each other, but there's simply too many for anybody to do anything major. Which means it may continue for a while yet....

WAR (How long's it been going now?)

Well, somebody was gonna start blogging. I mean, seriously, war for the crown and nobody's even blogging about it? Terrible.
Okay, I may have missed the first like, fifteen years, but I can't exactly blog while in the fighting. "Hey, dude, can I have a quote to put on my blog before I kill you?" I have a feeling it wouldn't work. (I'd probably just get skewered.)
But I'm sure there's plenty left to talk about, namely WHY THE HECK IS IT TAKING SO LONG???!!!
I'll be having a think and letting you know in my next update. Keep an eye out.
P.S I'm a Yorkist myself, but don't have anything against you Lancastrians, (apart from, y'know the ones that tried to kill me..) so read this anyway.
